Chocolate printer rented to Libary

Published : 04/13/2017 07:01:14

The Geroldswil Library organized a spring aperitif with prosecco and a chocolate 3-D printer. The Grosi is also pleased: "It is brilliant, the 3-D printer has attracted much attention."

In the community library Geroldswil not only books are borrowed, it is also chocolate printed - on a 3-D printer. At least that was the case on Tuesday at the Spring Apéro.

"Cool!" The numerous children waiting in front of the printer are impressed. How the whole thing works, visitors can experience for yourself. The children of the librarian Katharina Lehmann watch the chocolate being printed with lettering. «The operation of the printer is quite complex. Before, we talked about the settings for hours, "says Lehmann. But the efforts have paid off: "It's fun and it's something new."

Ten-year-old Lia waits patiently until her chocolate bar is printed. She decided on a "Mummy & Dad" theme with a heart. "I want to give the chocolate to my parents for Easter," she says. But not only children are enthusiastic about the printer. "It's awesome, I've never seen it before," says Giulia's grandmother. While waiting for the chocolate, Giulia rummages through a book about animals. For the spring aperitif, the library also offers book novelties. Cornelia Voltzenlogel, the director of the library, points to the novels, thrillers and non-fiction books on display: "We have recorded a large assortment of current books and bestsellers. The readings are available for young and old. »
